Distec releases its new IP6X panel PC series featuring IP69K waterproof quality

Distec’s new IP6X panel PC series with 10 finger PCAP touch and the power-saving Pentium N4200 or Core i3 processors is completely sealed all around according to IP69K. Dust and strong jets of water have no chance and the monitor even withstands high-pressure and steam jet cleaning with temperatures of up to 85 degrees Celsius.

Originally developed for road vehicles, IP69K was later adopted by the food, beverage and other industries that require frequent cleaning and particularly hygienic conditions.

The housing of the IP6X devices uses the particularly high-quality 316 stainless steel, which, among other things, is suitable for pharmaceutical production, withstands high salt concentrations and can be used in chemical applications. There are also many other reasons in favor of stainless steel as the housing material: it is resistant to oxidation and corrosion, easy to clean, non-toxic and environmentally friendly because it can be 100% recycled. The finely polished, smooth and flat surface of the IP6X monitors also prevents bacterial growth and drains water quickly.

To prevent condensation in the completely sealed monitors, the AGRO SS316 pressure equalization element is installed. It provides pressure equalization between the monitor interior and the environment, while preventing operating fluids or water from entering the enclosure. The IP6X monitors are available in three different sizes: The 15″ and 19″ monitors have the ports on the back, while the 21.5″ monitor has them on the bottom. In addition, the 21.5″ monitor offers an RFID reader for MIFARE smart cards.

All monitors come with waterproof adapters, cables and a waterproof external power supply.

VESA, bracket and wall mounting are each available.

The IP6X series is suitable for particularly harsh environments with high hygienic requirements, for example in the food and beverage industry, hospitality and catering services, pharmaceutical plants, feed production or chemically critical environments.
