The demand for lightweight solutions in automotives is continuously increasing. The lightweight experts at Hennecke GmbH took this opportunity to introduce their innovative plant technology for the field of Composites together with their British cooperation partner and PU specialist AutoRIM Limited for the first time at this year’s “Advanced Engineering” in Birmingham.

Innovative lightweight solutions are currently also highly valued in Great Britain. The focus of the local automotive industry lies particularly on the high pressure RTM technology (HP-RTM). This goes in line with the order for a HP-RTM research and development plant, which Hennecke together with ENGEL Austria GmbH carried out at WARWICK MANUFACTURING GROUP in Birmingham.

As a consistent control concept bears significant advantages in particular in HP-RTM component development, ENGEL and Hennecke have again combined their expertise and constructed an efficient composite system. This allows developers, for example, to evaluate all process-related values with an HMI device, operate the plant and independently select control actions for exceeded or underrun limit values, separately for each individual machine. In order to provide potential customers in this area of application with the best possible consultancy over the course of the show, specialists from ENGEL Austria GmbH will also be present at the trade show stand of Hennecke. Thus, the combined lightweight expertise will benefit the specialist discussions.

Of course, Hennecke is not only steering attention to the HP-RTM technology, but also to proven lightweight products from the different PURCSM manufacturing versions (polyurethane composite spray moulding), at the trade show. For example, in the form of PREG components from renowned Hennecke customers in various versions and designs. In any case, paper-sandwich composite in automotive interiors continues to offer a high potential in terms of weight saving. A new trend is indicating that these components are now also being used for the exteriors. As market leader of this technology, Hennecke can offer its customers a big range of various production solutions. From standard plants to customised concepts.
