Igus presents its new plastic ball rollers for a higher bearing capacity

Ball tables are used everywhere where sensitive or heavy loads are transported from A to B: be it boards, food, goods in airports, glass panes or goods in the sheet metal processing industry. By using ball rollers in the conveyor tables, loads can be transferred quickly and easily in all desired directions.

Plastic ball rollers superior to metallic ones

The new ball castors from igus are made of high-performance polymers and ensure smooth transport even at high loads. For the advanced polymer ball rollers, the proven material xirodur B180 is used. The dimensionally identical ball rollers are in contrast to metallic ball rollers lubricant and thus maintenance-free. Thus, no grease can adhere to the cargo. By using a plastic ball, the use of new rollers is particularly suitable when sensitive goods are to be transported. Another advantage over metal: The ball rollers can be used in any mounting position, whether horizontal, vertical or overhead, which now also extends the field of application for the furniture industry.

Due to new construction five times more load suspension

The optimized polymer ball rollers have a new enclosure, so they can now take up to five times more loads than before. The ball rollers are currently available in three sizes and, depending on their size, withstand an axial load of 150 to 500 N. Due to their material, they are particularly abrasion-resistant, have a long service life and have an electrically insulating effect. The rollers are mounted by simply pressing them into the receptacle. If the user wants to additionally secure the polymer ball roller, igus offers a clamping ring for extra secure holding. If required, the ball rollers can be completely metal-free and therefore non-magnetic by using glass spheres in the enclosure.
