igus trade fairs start with 175 motion plastics innovations

With a selection of 175 motion plastics innovations, the igus in-house exhibition is on tour again this year. Whether as a pop-up trailer or as an XXL roadshow truck: With the mobile trade fair stand, customers have the opportunity to experience the motion plastics that are of interest to them directly on site. Those who prefer to obtain information digitally can also get to know the latest lubrication- and maintenance-free tribo components online at the award-winning virtual-real igus trade fair stand.

175 plastic innovations and program extensions from all motion plastics areas were presented by igus at this year’s Hannover Messe: Among them, a plain bearing program made of regranulated plastics, the world’s first tribo-3D printing resin for particularly small components, or a smart monitoring unit for gliding e-chain systems that is particularly cost-effective at 248 euros. With many of these innovations in the bag, the igus in-house exhibition is now back on tour and can be easily booked for an individual visit. As an alternative to the classic trade fair, a modular pop-up stand offers 50 square meters of exhibition space with the latest from the world of lubrication- and maintenance-free motion plastics. For colder days, the new roadshow truck is an alternative: Comfortable and fully air-conditioned, discussions can be held in a pleasant atmosphere even at lower temperatures. If the focus is specifically on product solutions for cost-effective automation, igus sends the Low Cost Automation Van on the road. It visits users with robolink jointed-arm, delta and gantry robots, such as the smart ReBeL for 4,970 euros. The focus is particularly on the direct implementation of an application at the customer’s site, which brings a quick return on investment.

Real or virtual? igus makes both possible

Whether trailer, truck or van: For all variants, the focus is on personal contact in a relaxed and familiar environment. igus employees discuss the possible applications of the products together with the customers, present the innovations and help with the design. The visitors also bring themselves up to date with the latest Tribo technology. An offer especially for employees who do not travel to trade fairs and thus cannot experience igus products live. “It is precisely the taking in hand, trying out and then getting into personal exchange that is still important for many users,” notes Tobias Vogel, Managing Director of Plain Bearings and Linear Technology at igus. “We see this at the roadshow as well as at the events currently taking place again, such as the Hannover Messe or automatica, at which we are exhibiting.” igus also offers interested companies this opportunity with a special info corner on request. The regional sales representative equips this individually with samples and further information. Around 5,000 displays have already been set up worldwide, 2,200 of them in Germany alone. Another convenient way to find out about the innovations is the igus motion plastics show (IMPS). The real stand, which covers around 400 square meters, can be walked through on the Internet and provides information on the topic of “improve what moves” in the latest version 3.0 using multimedia and also mobile technology. The IMPS, which received the iF Design Award, is part of the digital support offer to customers; personal tours, individual and group discussions at the stand can also be arranged.
