Reis proves how the efficiency in sheet metal processing can be considerably increased.

Three presentation isles are dedicated to different focuses.

  • The field-proven Reis laser robot is enhanced by a special kinematics. A feed axis on the floor forms an innovative additional axis under the stationary bridge. A robot equipped for laser hybrid welding from the gantry performs the welding operations on very long components. The linear traversing unit mounted on the floor as an additional axis makes the solution nearly independent of the length of the components to be processed. At the same time, the stationary arrangement allows a smaller safety area.
  • The new jet robot shows how space-saving and flexible this automation solution from Reis and Kuka is. A tool change unit proves that the same kinematics can map various processes alternately: Twin wire welding, plasma cutting, laser cutting, MIG/MAG welding. Here the 3D seam tracking with laser camera in conjunction with two additional axes of a Reis rotary/tilting module is a special highlight.
  • The laser powder build-up welding is a generative production procedure. This procedure allows automated restoring of the target state of used tools or even worn turbine buckets. This procedure can be used to extend the service life of expensive tools or even to make modifications. An additional software in conjunction with a camera system is able to detect the actual state, to compare it with the target state of the contour and to restore it automatically. Besides this, the extremely high precision of powder build-up welding allows restoring, for example, turbine buckets layer by layer.
