Enclosures are always used when it is essential to protect electronic components from harmful environmental influences. But what happens when moisture forms in the enclosure? This hazard can be avoided with a simple and clever product from Rittal.

Especially when enclosures are exposed to changing climatic conditions, condensation may form in sealed enclosures due to pressure differences. Electrical systems can now be effectively protected from harmful moisture with a simple and clever solution from Rittal. By using pressure relief stoppers with integrated sealing membranes, pressure differences and thus the formation of condensate can be largely prevented. Besides this, the built-in sealing membrane protects against moisture penetrating from outside.

If condensation still cannot be prevented, the installation of a condensate discharge from Rittal is recommended. Thanks to a sophisticated labyrinth system, this allows not only the accumulating condensation to run off, but also offers protection against splash water from outside seeping in. Both products can be quickly mounted on all of Rittal’s small and compact enclosures.

Furthermore, the manufacturer offers a wide range of climate control components, which can regulate the relative humidity in the enclosure. The enclosure heater, for example, can be controlled by either thermostat or hygrostat. This way, the dew point in the enclosure can be prevented from falling below set limits, so effectively preventing condensation.
