Stäubli Robotics combines speed, performance and safety into its new TX2 robots

With the TX2 line and CS9 controller, Stäubli Robotics is opening a new chapter in Man–Machine cooperation. Robust and powerful, TX2s provide better balance between sturdiness, size, and work envelope. But most of all, TX2s are the only robots on the market to blend speed, performance AND safety.

SPEED WITH SAFE SPEED

Equipped with sensors, the robots immediately detect anyone approaching their work area and automatically lower their speed in accordance with safety requirements. The main advantage here is that the robots can continue to operate at a slower rate without triggering the emergency shutdown mechanism, thereby avoiding a complex restart procedure.

PERFORMANCE WITH SAFE STOP

In safety mode, the robots slow down even more or stop altogether. However, when the feature activates, robots retain all their vital functions and can therefore start again on their own as soon as operators leave the work area. These two revolutionary features make for genuine cooperation between man and machine.

SAFETY EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME

To ensure maximum protection, the robot movements are controlled by sensors with a high safety integrity level.

If man and machine share the same workspace, safety modes like lower speeds can be made to activate under certain predefined conditions.

To be even safer, TX2 robots can be equipped with the TX2touch membrane, an arm under development that is not available yet. Sensitive to touch, it slows down and stops when entering into contact with the operator. Safety guaranteed.
