The focus of BASIS were new products with previously not feasible product features for measurement technology, biological systems, mobile analytics and implantology. The project was finished successfully in autumn.

During the joint project a toolbox is established, consisting of hydrogel based coatings, passivation, patterning and functionalization techniques. The toolbox is applied in the areas joint replacement, dental, in-situ instrumentation and sensor systems.

TETRA was involved in the construction of 3D structured hydrogels and their use in generated solutions in systems with biointerfaces. TETRA developed for this project scaffolds from innovative hydrogels developed of IBA institute Heiligenstadt, which were structured by two-photon polymerization. The IBA institute uses TETRA´s material measurement system BASALT-N2 for the characterization of the hydrogels.
