Viavi SmartOTDR devices now equipped with SmartAccess Anywhere remote support functionality

With the new remote support feature SmartAccess Anywhere, experts at the home base of operations can support their colleagues on site at any time from their desks. Using a secure encrypted connection, they have full access to the SmartOTDR device on site. The connection can be easily established via any available network access.

Staff at headquarters can see everything that the network technician’s device displays and can control it remotely via the cloud. This means that even tricky problems can be resolved quickly and easily without unnecessarily sending technicians out onto the streets. With increasingly larger and more complex fiber networks, operators can thus guarantee that their customers always receive the desired quality of service.

SmartAccess Anywhere is supported by all Viavi SmartOTDR devices. The feature is available in different access packages.
