On Wednesday 8th July 2015 a delegation of politicians from Central America visited WKV.
The visitors from Costa Rica, Panama and Honduras were on a round trip in Germany to gather information about renewable energy. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung had organized this fact-finding trip and expert talks with various experts from the fields of energy and energy-related politics.
Wasserkraft Volk, as a leading manufacturer and supplier of complete hydropower plant equipment, was asked to inform the guests about Hydro power. Dieter Krompholz (Head of Project Department) explained to the guests the advantages of Hydro power, provided an insight into some aspects of hydro plant development and in the functionality of the different turbine types.
Of course, the long and impressive list of references in South and Central America was shown to the visitors as well.
Last but not least, the guests had a tour through the whole Company and could see various turbines in the stages of manufacturing and final assembly – many of them for current contracts in South and Central America.
After visiting WKV, the guests travelled on to Berlin to meet German political energy experts and representatives.
