ZETLAB FFT Spectrum analyzers for LOFAR & DEMON analysis

An FFT Spectrum Analyser is a device which combines computer software and technology to produce record and analyse waveform data. It helps in analysis of digital waves using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) technology.

FFT is a computer program to help in analysis of digital signals for audio, video and images. It also helps in translating time into frequency to help with the process. This technology is most commonly used in metrological investigations. It can record, analyse and store information on various platforms for scientific or other research.

ZETLAB is a Russian company dealing in providing  high-accuracy measuring technology to metrological laboratories and manufacturers for data collection and analysis.

In the field of passive sonar signal processing, ZETLAB offers several FFT Spectrum Analyzers available in its products. These are as below:

This is a device with 4 analogue input ports and 1 output port, and a sampling frequency of up to 400 kHz. It has a dynamic range of 110 dB.  It measures 280 x 200 x 35mm, weighing around 1 kg.

This spectrum analyser has the following main features:

  • It has wide range of dynamic scope
  • It can record and process data from multiple channels
  • It has PTP synchronization
  • It is supported by several ICP (IEPE)-standard transducers, Delta Tron / ISOTRON transducers, and CCD sensors
  • All control buttons for data recording at front of the panel

This device can be especially designated for measurement of parameters of the spectrum, including vibrational, acoustic and hydro acoustic signals. It can also generate electrical signals for normalized metrological characteristics. It can function on its own or as part of a whole system for research purpose.

ZETLAB has specialized software for analysis named as ZETLAB ANALIZ. The software together with the analyser enables the user to do the following

  • Perform analysis on recorded signals both in real-time and on recorded data
  • Implement parallel digital filters to conduct octave- and 1/3-octave analysis
  • Analyse narrow-band spectral data
  • Measure ВС and AC voltage
  • Measure the frequency of electrical signals
  • Generate both sine and DC signals
  • Record and save signals to a hard drive for data collection and analysis

This is very similar to the previous one. It has 4 analogue input ports and 1 output port, and a sampling frequency of up to 400 kHz. It has a dynamic range of 110 dB.  It measures 280 x 160 x 75mm, also weighing around 1 kg.

This device from ZETLAB has the following specifications:

  • Supports a frequency range of up to 20 kHz
  • Has a dynamic range of 110 dB
  • Has a USB interface
  • Can be connected through Ethernet or Wi-Fi

It can carry out the following functions:

  • Narrow band spectral analysis
  • Cross narrow band spectral analysis
  • Fractional octave analysis
  • Modal analysis and resonance search
  • Measuring noise and vibration level for working sites
  • Reverberation level to assess noise levels
  • Wavelet analysis used for speech recognition and processing
  • Visual representation
  • Generation of arbitrary signals
  • Record
  • Automation
  • Network exchange of data through Ethernet and Internet

This device allows the user to run several different software programs simultaneously. They can be linked together to collect and analyse data. This is especially useful to create systems for measuring, testing, controlling and monitoring technological processes.

This analyser has the double capacity of the previous two. It has 8 analogue input ports and 2 output port, and a similar sampling frequency of up to 400 kHz. It has a dynamic range of 120 dB.  It measures 280 x 160 x 75mm, weighing around 0.8 kg, giving almost double the capacity in smaller size.

This spectrum analyser has the following important features:

  • A dynamic range of 120 dB
  • Goes up to 20kHz frequency
  • Has 8 measuring channels

Just like the U4 version, it also has the capability of the following functions:

  • Narrow band spectral analysis
  • Cross narrow band spectral analysis
  • Fractional octave analysis
  • Modal analysis and resonance search
  • Measuring noise and vibration level for working sites
  • Reverberation level to assess noise levels
  • Wavelet analysis used for speech recognition and processing
  • Visual representation
  • Generation of arbitrary signals
  • Record
  • Automation
  • Network exchange of data through Ethernet and Internet

The ZET 017-U8 FFT SPECTRUM ANALYZER can run several analytical and signal mapping programs at the same time to create whole systems for testing, process monitoring and control. It can carry out analysis in non-stationary modes. It is therefore useful for development of whole systems or processes rather than for simple data collection.it is portable which gives it an extra advantage for carrying out a wide range of functions.
