Thanks to its numerous, standard functionalities, the latest addition to the noax family provides exactly the right technology for any application. As a rugged, well-rounded PC, noax industrial computers are utilized almost everywhere: automation, food production, logistics and weighing to name a few. The new C12 stands out particularly through its sleek design and the multitude of options for user-specific configuration. The C12 provides noax customers with a device that completely meets all of their individual requirements.

Customization of the IPC begins with its core processor. Customers can choose from a number of variants: noax Technologies Corp. offers the device with either an Intel® Celeron® processor or an Intel® Core 2 Duo processor with 2 x 1.86 GHz. noax also offers a variety of display sizes to suit the individual application: The 12” touch screen PC is supplied either with a SVGA or with a XGA display.

To encompass the broadest range of applications, noax industrial PCs feature numerous interfaces as a standard. In specific cases, the device can be expanded by means of two PCI or PCIe slots – an option unmatched among the C12’s size category. The proficient noax design will allow this expansion even after several years of use. Customers will receive a guarantee that their investment is protected for years to come.

More user convenience
To offer the user ideal system ergonomics, the new noax C12 IPC features up to five freely customizable function keys. At the simple touch of a button, users can switch between the various applications or show or hide the touch-screen keyboard, for example.

A USB port integrated at the front of the screen simplifies work, especially for IT administrators. An administrator can use this front-side USB port to quickly and easily configure the device or apply software updates. A fully sealed and easy-to-close rubber cover ensures that the device—like all noax industrial computers—remains protected against dust and water. Even if the USB cover is absent, there is no reason to worry because the intelligent noax design guarantees that water or other forms of contamination are still prevented from penetrating into the device. Additionally, a software tool developed by noax prevents unauthorized persons from using the front-side USB port.

Quick overview
Besides the ergonomic design, noax industrial PCs provide the capacity for remote maintenance, simplifying the administrators’ tasks even further. The current operating status of all industrial PCs can be viewed via a software console. The IPCs can also be configured so that a report on the current operational readiness of the individual devices is sent automatically by e-mail. This allows network administrators to detect possible problems quickly and to react preemptively.

Extended mobile application
Industrial PCs are particularly important for mobile applications. A large numbers of noax IPCs are used in industrial transportation such as forklifts or trucks. Experts predict an increase in mobile applications in the future. For this reason, the new noax IPCs come with a number of features to expand the scope of mobile application: The new C12 supports the Wi-Fi standards 802.11a/b/g/n within the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wavebands. The antennas used for Wi-Fi transmission are invisibly integrated into the front of the frame. This provides effective protection of the antennas from snapping or damage. Alternatively, external antennas can be connected through a protected cable duct to allow for installation beyond the device, for example, on the roof of a vehicle. Where industrial PCs are intended for use in areas without a Wi-Fi infrastructure, noax industrial PCs feature the capacity for data transmission via mobile radio networks such as GPRS, UMTS, and HSPA. Therefore, data can be reliably transmitted to recipients outside of enclosed spaces.
noax also offers the option to integrate Bluetooth for data transmission to wireless bar code scanners or keyboards, for example.

Simple installation
Thanks to efficient construction it is easy to install the compact industrial PCs on machines, devices, or walls: DIN-compliant T-track rails as well as compliance with the VESA standards 75 and 100 allow for simple installation. The touch pen holders can be attached on the left, right, or both sides of the screen, increasing the ease-of-operation even further. The connector cover, which allows attachment of a transponder reader if required, can also be quickly installed using only two screws.
It goes without saying that the new C12—just like all noax industrial PCs—is fully enclosed and completely protected against dust and water in accordance with IP65 and offers the ruggedness and reliability for which noax PCs are known for.
